Pools in Marrakech: why choose a women-only day in La Palmeraie?
Privacy, safety, comfort: why more and more women choose a pool reserved just for them in Marrakech's La Palmeraie. Passes, prices and frequently asked questions.
Marrakech has no shortage of pools. But finding one where you can truly swim with a free mind, without feeling watched, is often an uphill battle. AVA BAY was imagined to answer exactly that.
1. The freedom to be yourself
Tuesday to Friday, the estate is reserved for women. You swim, rest and laugh freely, in whatever swimwear you like. For many of our guests, it is the first time in a long while that a pool day has been truly restful.
2. Privacy that is genuinely protected
The estate is enclosed and out of sight. Access is controlled, capacity is deliberately limited and photographing other guests is not allowed. What happens at AVA BAY belongs to you alone.
3. A female team, attentive and discreet
Your sunbed is ready before you arrive, infused water awaits, and service appears only when you need it. The team looks after the grounds and the children alike, so you can truly let go.
4. The freshness of La Palmeraie
A few minutes from the centre, La Palmeraie offers what the medina cannot: space, silence and shade. The pool is surrounded by palm trees, in an oasis designed against the Marrakech heat.
5. Much more than a pool
Around the pool: a spa, a traditional hammam, private massage rooms, a hair and nail salon, and La Table d'Ava, our Mediterranean restaurant. A swim in the morning, a hammam in the afternoon, a blow-dry before you leave: you build your day à la carte.
6. Children have their own world, close to you
This is what changes everything for mothers. While you enjoy the pool, your children are welcomed at Ava Land, looked after by educators: from 12 months on weekdays from 9am to 4pm, from age 3 after 4pm and at weekends. From age 12, only girls may access the adult area.
And on Sundays?
On Sundays, AVA BAY becomes a family meeting point around our Mediterranean brunch, served from 11am to 2.30pm.
Pool passes and prices
- AVA ENTRY — 350 MAD: full day with pool, sunbed and towel included. Drinks and food à la carte.
- BED for 2 — 900 MAD: a private poolside BED, 2 towels and 2 cocktails.
- AVA KIDS — from 100 MAD (1h) to 400 MAD (8h): care at Ava Land with supervised activities.
- Sunday brunch — 550 MAD, or 850 MAD with pool access.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to book? Yes, it is strongly recommended: sunbeds and BEDs are limited, especially at weekends and during school holidays.
Are drinks and meals included? They are à la carte with the AVA ENTRY pass. The BED for two includes 2 cocktails.
Are the spa and hammam included? No, treatments are booked as extras, on the day or in advance.
